Dr. Lavanya Baheerathan is a dedicated medical professional who completed her medical degree, internship, residency, and senior residency across various health networks in Sydney. Throughout her training, she gained extensive experience in general medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, and emergency medicine. Dr. Baheerathan particularly enjoyed her role as a registrar in paediatric and neonatal medicine, where she developed a strong passion for these fields.

Dr. Baheerathan is committed to providing patient-centered care and has found fulfillment practicing medicine in the General Practice setting. She has a particular interest in paediatrics, mental health, chronic disease management, preventative healthcare, women’s health, and minor surgical procedures.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Baheerathan has contributed to medical research, publishing an article in the International Journal of Community and Public Health. Her research focused on the potential for lifestyle modification following educational interventions for residents at risk of developing gastric cancer.

Dr. Baheerathan currently resides in the Mornington Peninsula with her family. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach and on the farm with her loved ones.
